Library Membership & Circulation

  • Membership:
    • All enrolled students, faculty, and non-teaching staff are automatically eligible for library membership upon payment of the annual library fee (₹200).
    • New students receive a library card during orientation after submitting a passport-size photograph and completing the membership form.
    • Alumni and external researchers may access the library for reference purposes with prior permission from the Librarian and a nominal fee.
  • Circulation:
    • The library uses an automated circulation system for efficient borrowing and tracking.
    • Books can be borrowed for 15 days (students) or 30 days (faculty), with one renewal allowed if no other user has reserved the book.
    • Reference books, journals, and rare collections are for in-library use only and cannot be borrowed.
    • The Book Bank facility provides long-term borrowing for needy and deserving students, subject to availability.
    • Users can check borrowing status and reserve books through the library’s online portal (under development).
ABOUT

Sankrail Anil Biswas Smriti Mahavidyalaya, situated in the verdant village of Kultikri, Jhargram, West Bengal, is a NAAC-accredited institution affiliated with Vidyasagar University. Established in 2007, the college was founded with a mission to provide accessible, quality higher education to first-generation learners, particularly from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes in the Jungle Mahal region.
