The Career Counselling Cell of Sankrail Anil Biswas Smriti Mahavidyalaya plays a pivotal role in guiding students towards informed academic and professional decisions. Situated in a predominantly rural and economically underprivileged area, the cell in the college serves as a vital support mechanism for students—most of whom are first-generation learners—with limited exposure to career opportunities.
Established with the objective of bridging the gap between education and employment, the cell provides structured guidance, motivation, and information to help students develop clarity about their career paths, higher studies, and vocational prospects.
Objectives:
- To create awareness among students about various academic, vocational, and professional opportunities.
- To assist students in choosing career paths aligned with their strengths, interests, and market trends.
- To organize seminars, webinars, and workshops in collaboration with experts, industry professionals, and alumni.
- To provide individual and group counselling for personality development, goal setting, and career planning.
- To assist students in preparing for competitive examinations (e.g., UPSC, SSC, WBPSC, Railways, Banking, NET/SET, etc.).
- To disseminate information about scholarships, internships, and fellowships.
- To promote employability skills such as resume writing, interview preparation, communication skills, and soft skills.
