Background and Foundation
The Department of Bengali was established in the year 2007 with B.A. General and 2009 with B.A. Honours in Bengali with the mission to promote the study of Bengali language and literature among the rural students of this region. Over the years it has been trying hard to teach Bengali Literature and the Language among students of the region.
Highlights
- The department provides ICT facilities and the teachers make use of the latest technology for teaching literature and language.
- The department has a good collection of books in the Central Library.
- There is a Video Archive of movies, documentaries and music collections.
- The department organizes seminars, workshops, field surveys etc.
