The Department of Bengali

The Department of Bengali was established in the year 2007 with B.A. General and with B.A.Honours in Bengali in the year 2009 with the mission to get the students acquainted with the historical evolution of Bengali language and literature over the years, the golden treasure that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore has left on the Bengali soil, as well as the current trends of Bengali literature. We also aim to make the students aware of the folkloric elements that are available in the local by areas as well as outside. Over the years it has been trying hard for teaching the Bengali Literature and the Language among students of the region.
